A beautiful day out in the country.  The wind was cool, but the sun shed it's warmth, making this a place to relax and enjoy nature.  The trees with their arms reaching to the blue sky, surrounded with the colors and sounds of Autumn, the leaves rustling under your feet, hearing the birds overhead, and watching the water spread its ripples to the shores.....this is country life!

                                       An Iowa (USA) farmer is shown busy in his fields,

                                                harvesting his corn and the grain. 

                                Looking out as far as the eye can see, the earth and heavens

                                   are joined as one.  Here in the country, you can feel the

                                            peace and harmony of man and nature.

This is a beautiful  photo showing "Red Mountain" in Arizona (USA)  The reflections of the rock formation and the clouds in the water, are a sight to behold.  Taking credit for this photo is my nephew, Jared Bernhardt.  Thank you Jared, for permitting me to share this great photo!

ABANDONED AND FORGOTTEN...

 Abandoned and Forgotten...

An old and abandoned bridge sits in Northwest Iowa country, alone and forgotten.  This bridge is tucked back from the main road, with the gentle river waters flowing below.  At one time, it was a place for vehicles to cross over, now unused, it still sits in its greatness, joining one side of the river to the other.  On a crisp Autumn day, it looks more forlorn and alone, with all of its rusted and weathered beauty...photo by Judiann

                    In Northwest Iowa, you will find many scenes like this in the Fall.  These are areas of peace and quiet, where a person can sit and read, relax, meditate and more.  Areas like this are off busy roads, often times in secluded areas.  Come with me, as we journey through areas in Iowa and all over the country.  (photo by Judiann)
